I stopped at this Florida State Park to pick up some geocaches and check out the park. The Florida topography is quite beautiful here. The day I came the clouds were quite beautiful against the blue sky. There is a wonderful boat launch, clean bathrooms, a dock, hiking trails and a playground. I will definitely come back here to camp and kayak.
Enjoyed the boat ride on the Ochlocknee River with family and friends! Saw some wildlife and made great memories!
The camp ground wasn't large as some other parks(in camping sites), but that is always a good thing when you can reduce the number of campers which adds to the tranquility of this park.
This is the real Florida. Great place to land a boat for a picnic after fishing and water skiing. The marshes are thriving breeding grounds for wildlife. The waters are brackish and calm which makes it great for boating and young children. You can enjoy all the forgotten coast has to offer.
This is a really great park to visit and as many others have stated, a hidden gem and very underrated. There are plenty of wildlife to see and even the elusive white squirrel, which I did get to catch a glimpse of.
Love this place. Been coming here my whole life with many memories and more to come. This picture is my grandparents my cousin's and the little guy in swimming wings in the tube is myself. It was taken on the bank at the camping area hard to belive it was 25 years ago.
